Meet Ryan M. Wieseler, D.D.S.
Hermiston Family Dentist Committed to Education and Community
Dr. Ryan Wieseler was born and raised on a farm in the Columbia Basin. He spent several summers working on a farm just outside Hermiston, so it’s safe to say he’s familiar with the neighborhood and all the fine folks who call it home. As a dedicated Hermiston family dentist, Dr. Wieseler is proud to serve the community with compassionate, expert care for patients of all ages.
After graduating from high school, Dr. Wieseler attended Washington State University in Pullman, where he pursued a major in zoology while also running track and field for the Cougs. He went on to complete his undergraduate education with honors. He chose a profession that allowed him to help people in ways they could not be helped before. As a Hermiston family dentist, he wanted to get to know people, learn about what’s going on in their lives, understand their oral and overall health needs, and stick with them as a trusted healthcare partner. Dr. Wieseler soon graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. After completing his doctorate, he and his family moved to Hermiston, where he purchased Desert Dental in 2008, continuing his commitment to the community as a dedicated Hermiston family dentist.
Dr. Wieseler loves dentistry and learning about advancements in the field. As a Hermiston family dentist, he’s committed to staying at the forefront of modern dental care. He’s completed continuing education through the prestigious Spear Education and the KOIS Center. He’s also accumulated hundreds of continuing education hours as Co-Director of the Seattle Study Club (SSC) and Great Blue Heron East Study Club—which operates under the umbrella of the SSC and is dedicated to providing comprehensive continuing education for dental professionals locally. Through his dedication to lifelong learning, Dr. Wieseler ensures that his patients receive the highest quality care from a trusted Hermiston family dentist.
Dr. Wieseler says that if he wasn’t a dentist, he might have stayed on the farm. Because he grew up farming, he says it’s always been a “plan B,” and we believe it! As a Hermiston family dentist, he brings that same hardworking, down-to-earth approach to caring for his patients. You might even see him outside our office tending to his beehives while you’re having a hygiene cleaning. Besides bees, he’s also passionate about his family, their farm animals, hunting, fishing, gardening, and sports—values that make him a true Hermiston family dentist dedicated to his community.
In 2004, Dr. Wieseler married his high school sweetheart, Amy, a teacher. They have three beautiful children: Delaney, Colton, and Brenna. Alongside Amy, Hermiston family dentist Dr. Wieseler worked to create a science program at their children’s elementary school. The family donates extra supplies to the local schools every spring, showing their deep commitment to the community.
Dr. Wieseler is also an active Rotary member and volunteers in the community with the 4-H and Future Farmers of America clubs. He also participates in dental mission trips to Honduras with Desert Dental’s previous owner, Dr. Spomer. Dr. Wieseler also provides some charity work within our office, practicing case-by-case on a limited basis.
